I have been really lax in blogging lately... it's not easy to fit into a busy schedule, especially when you add the Olympics into the mix :)
but here is what i accomplished days 6-10.......
i have lost a few more pounds... decided i will not share my totals, or before/after pics until i am on day 25 ... i know.. the anticipation is torture :)
i went over 20 miles on my Elliptical... i have actually found that watching a show like "So you think you can dance" is a good one to elliptical to.. while they are dancing, i tend to go faster :)
i have started on a new project... removing old wood flooring to put down tile instead... but i swear, whoever it was that installed this flooring must have simply dumped an entire bucket of glue on the concrete slab and put the wood on top of that... i am having to use a WHOLE lot of elbow grease, a pry bar, a chisel and a hammer to get it up.... and even worse is there was so much glue, it's still wet and tacky.. so that will be a lot of fun to remove...
but the thing i am thankful for is that i am able to do it at all...
because of this challenge, and the energy these products give me, i am able to do somethign like this.
in the last 2 months i have demo'd and replaced my stairs to have them recarpeted... i have built a wall... yes, an entire wall.. insulation and all... in my garage to create a new storage room... i have begin building a new patio area in the back yard... so far it is just the gravel... but money is what is keeping me from completing it, not lack of energy (rock, sand and paving stones are a LOT more expendive than i budgeted for).. and now i am demo'ing my old wood flooring to replace it with tile... never would i have thought even 6 months ago that i would have been able to get all of this done... i never would have had the energy.
as for this round of my 24 day challenge.... i have completed the Cleanse phase, and moved on to the MNS phase. read about that in the next blog :)
Please read the posts in order as listed in the Blog Archive on the side..... (it displays the most recent first in the body of the blog for some reason)..... My journey makes much more sense if you read the days in order.. lol

24 Reloaded - Day 1-5
I have discovered that this is the time of year where i have so much going on that i simply do not have time to blog.... so as i get time, i will do a consolidated blog of whatever days i missed....
so...
here is days 1-5 of my 24 Day Challenge - Reloaded (this means my 2nd time doing it for those who did not read my previous post :)
Days 1-3 started the day with the Fiber drink. I decided to try the new flavor of Peaches and Cream, which my Coach had given me.. and i liked it.. it was a LOT smoother than the Citrus... not as fiber-ey... lol... i still prefer the citrus flavor since peach has never been my favorite, and the citrus still reminds me of extremely weak and overly pulpy orange juice... but i am sure there are tons of people who will simply love the peaches and cream... :) Days 2 and 3 i had the citrus flavor as usual...
went through my day as i have been for the last few months.... Omegaplex with breakfast and dinner ... it has become habit now... and the Herbal Cleanse tablets before bedtime.
On day 4 and 5 there is no fiber drink, just the ProBiotic caplets before eating breakfast... and my breakfast was a shake.. of course. anyone who has read any of this blog should be able to guess by now that the shake will be my breakfast for ever and ever and ever.. i just love them. today and yesterday i had 1/3 of a large banana blended into the vanilla shake mix and 1/2 full of ice then water to the top... blended in my magic bullet..... so very yummy. i bought frozen raspberries and strawberries and peaches and pineapple and mango too to start using, but figured should use up the banana before it goes bad.. lol... i do love fruit mixed in with the vanilla flavored shake..
for eating i had a snack bar for snack, morning and afternoon.... and for lunch i had a salad with some tuna from a pouch :) i think that is my biggest advantage when doing the challenge, i love salad... and it's probably one of the best meals to have for losing weight, espeically during the Cleanse phase.
dinner is a whole 'nother story....
days 1 i made fruit glazed salmon and green beans... day 2 i made a grilled chicken salad....
days 3 and 4, however, i was at gatherings where there was a lot of food to choose from... crockpot meatballs, chicken fingers from bojangles, shredded pork and shredded brisket, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato fries, and birthday cake.......
then i remembered the 80%rule..... "as long as you are 80% committed, you will get the results you want."...... personally i use the 80% rule to mean that i can have those food that aren't necessarily the best for me.... but as long as i eat them in a smart way (ie. moderate amounts) then they are ok....
and you know what? i still lost weight :)
this morning i weighed myself, and i have lost 4 more pounds already..... works for me :)
i am finding the routine easy to follow this time, especially since most of it is already habit...
i am on my way to ONEderland :)
Day 1 i decided to use my elliptical while watching an episode of Greys Anatomy.. and i have to tell ya, i surprised myself... kept going till the show ended (fast forwarding thru the commercials of course)... but i went 5 miles on the elliptical.. it felt awesome.
Day 5 i decided to do the same thing... and it felt even better this time... 5 more miles down.
so...

24 Days - Reloaded
i realised this weekend that i have gotten so far off the routine i established during my 24 day challenge that i need a refresher...... i am still using the products, and still losing weight, slowly but surely... but i noticed i am certainly off my game....
so with that in mine, i introduce:
The 24 Day Challenge - Reloaded! **the sound of a glock chambering a bullet**
....
ok.. that was cheesy :)... but what can i say, i sometimes have a flair for the dramatic :)
of course, i won't be starting it until Thursday.... and will make an attempt to blog every day again.... it will be interesting to see if there are any differences in my experience or observations this time around.
i am also wondering if the Cleanse phase will be as effective this time around..... we shall see...... da da da dummmmmmmmmm :)
did i mention the dramatic side? lol!

I am still here.. and still losing :)
i never thought saying i am still losing would be a good thing... but it is... i am still losing weight slowly but surely :)
life has gotten in the way the last couple of weeks and i have not been able to get on and blog about my experiences... but i will condense the time sing my last blog into the following paragraph.....
it is amazing what the desire to get healthy will do to a person who is under an inordinate amount of stress. this is the worst time of year at my job, and my stress level has increased tenfold.... but because of what i have already experienced on this journey to get healthy, i have survived it.. i have NOT gone back to my old habits... i have NOT crashed and drowned myself in a tub of icecream or candy.... i have kept on wiht the habits i learned during my challenge..... i still have a shake every morning, and one or two Spark through out the day... i still take my Omegaplex twice a day (and my skin looks better than it has in years!!!)... i am still eating food that i love in a smart way... and i am still losing weight. i have not gotten to exercise for the last 2 weeks, so i am losing slower than i did before for sure... but once it settles down at work, i will have time to get back to it... i have the energy and the drive.. just not the time... but that will come soon... i truly miss exercising every day and am ready to jump back in there. i cannot say how blessed i feel to have found this program and these products..... they have truly changed my life...
now... that about explains it :)
hopefully i will be able to be on more often now that things are settling down at work....
you will here from me soon :)

i built a wall.... literally
there is something to be said for having energy... energy to be focused and driven and accomplish tasks you would have not even started previously....
looking back over the last month or so, i have been more active than i have in literally, YEARS./..
i have completed projects i have been planning for months... i have started other projects that simply need money to be able to finish (like my new patio/deck)... but the fact that i have them started is groundbreaking for me....
i have been exercising.. and eating better and having the energy to do all of the things i want to do...
there is something to be said for having energy.
yesterday i built a wall. a real wall to enclose a recessed part of my garage to use for storage away from the elements of the garage itself (think smell from litterboxes primarily)... so i decided to build a wall.... i cut the wood and built the frame and put up drywall and insulation and more drywall and a door frame and door.... and even with my limited carpentry skills, i did it.... i am very proud of myself for that.... i has the focus and the energy to start it .... and that is more than i would have done 3 months ago...
i know a lot of it is simply my frame of mind... i do tend to be very determined... i have a desire to prove myself.... but even more determination has come from the weight i have lost and the energy i have gained... i drink a Spark at least 1 or 2 times a day, and it really does give me the little boost i need to push through when i start to get tired and would normally quit whatever it is i am doing at the time....
sure, my body hurts from overexertion... but i finished what i started :) and that is something i am proud of.
so now i can say that since starting my journey using the advocare products, i have lost almost 20 pounds... i have rebuilt my stairs... i have built a wall from scratch, and once i finish the storage room i have now created, the unused guest room furniture will go in the storage room so i can use the guest room for exercising, and using the new elliptical i bought... my next project is replacing the floors with tile... last time i did that was almost 3 years ago... i am so excited to get started!!!!!
i am on this journey, and i don't plan to stop any time soon..... i want to prove everyone else wrong.. everyone who said i couldn't do it.... i will reach my goal... and i will prove just how resourceful, determined and resilient i really am.
i built a wall...... literally.... and i built a wall metaphorically... a wall to keep all of the naysayers out of my world... a wall that will keep those who say "i can't" away from my world of "yes, i can"... the wall has a door in it... and when those poeple realise how much i am accomplishing and wish to join me, all they have to do is knock... and opportunity will answer.......
wow... that is deep.... but so very true.
i have a goal..... and my own drive combined with anything i need from Advocare will get me there.
