and so it continues...

I have decided to keep up my weight loss journey using the products from Advocare... basically i bought more of the Spark (5 flavors actually).. and more of the shakes (LOVE those things!!!).... and will be repeating the MNS pack (days 11-24 of the Challenge) as i continue to try to lose weight.... i figure it's worked for me so far... might as well keep going...

i really cannot say enough about how great i feel... i have so much energy.. i am actually exercising... i am working on projects around the house i have been putting off for months and months and finally getting them done....  and even better is i don't stop when i get tired, because i have the energy to keep going.

exercising feels SOOO good too... i had forgotten that... and i have finally moved our equipment out of the garage (where it has been stashed for the last 3 years or so) and have it moved into our "exercise room"... so not not only do i have my XBox Kinect games (Biggest Loser, Your Shape, and Dance Central) to use for exercise... but i now also have a punching bag, a rowing machine, a stationary bike, and a weight lifting bench (tho my husband will use that more than me) at my disposal... and i want an elliptical, just gotta find one we can afford..... i have really started to enjoy exercising in the evening after putting our daughter to bed.. so i am hoping these will help me enjoy it even more :)

this weekend was a weird one.... Friday was a normal evening... made fruit glazed salmon  (the glaze reduced fresh orange juice, a bit of ginger, a dollop of peach preserves and a bit of strawberry preserves) served on toasted wheat bread with italian seasoning and the glaze spread on it too.. and green beans.. i surprised myself with the tastiness of that creation...

decided to do 45 minutes of Yoga... sometimes i feel like yoga is harder than aerobic exercise.. lol.. but i felt so good afterwards... i am finding there are certain things my back will not allow me to do, so i have to improvise on other ways to work the same muscles.. so far i think i have been good at it...

our daughter let us sleep in both saturday and sunday... and saturday was such a weird day with things we had to get done, that our eating schedule was completely out of whack, but that is where the shakes came in so handy... quick and easy and filling.. and could drink it while driving running our errands... vanilla with a banana blended in.... YUMMY!

worked in the garage arranging, cleaning, and rearranging.. lol.. for 3 hours.. that works out your body almost as hard as working out does... kinda ironic that i was doing it to get access to the exercise equipment that needed to be moved into the house.. lol so needless to say, i did not feel the need to exercise that night...

dinner on saturday was Fatz Cafe... had the Aloha chicken again... i still think that is one of the best tasting combinations i have had in a long time.

on Sunday, slept in till 10 again (maybe she is going thru a growth spurt?)... i made french toast for breakfast... on whole wheat bread.... and with bananas .... i love that my skillet requires no butter, so they were healthier than i would have made in the past.... and i used less syrup than i think i ever have in my life, and it was still delicious... 2 pieces really filled me up (couldn't even eat the last few bites, so gave them to my daughter)

that afternoon, i did yardwork and worked up one heck of a sweat.... and i was so happy with the fact that i was able to finish the task i set for myself.... i ended up having to walk over to my parents and jump in the pool fully clothed (there was no way i was going to be able to peel those clothes off and get a bathing suit on, i was so sweaty)... and that felt awesome.... it has been a long long time since i was able to work outside in the swealtering heat.... and had a Spark to keep up my energy while i did...  i just might get this yard finished before the summer is over :)

made grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch... made them healthier than i ever have before, little butter, and whole wheat bread.. and they were tastier than i remembered ever having before.. probably because i put too much butter and the wrong cheese......

for dinner i made steak and potatoes with Montreal steak seasoning and onion for flavor... OMG that was good too.... i am getting pretty good at being creative.

reading back on everything i just wrote makes me feel like i am writing a blog on how to eat healthier... and perhaps that is what this will become... but i think i am more wanting to show that even tho i am working to lose weight, and succeeding, i am still able to eat yummy foods that i love, yet are still good for me.....

i like my version of what my coach one told me... if you want a piece of pizza, have a piece of pizza... just don't eat the whole pie and don't eat it every day....

i am taking that to heart... if i want bread, i am having bread.. but i am having bread that is healthy for me........ i am trying to stay away from those foods that are not conducive to weight loss (enriched breads, white sauces, too much sugar, etc)... not because i HAVE to, but because i WANT to... i want to get the best results i can.. i WANT to reach my goal..... and in the process i am finding sooo many foods and combinations that i never knew tasted so good.

what about you?  do you think you could benefit from a journey like this?  Let me know......
