Today started out like any other.....
1st packet in the morning.... shower... strawberry shake and the next 2 packets on the way to work....
snack of an apple and a spark at 10am...... 4th packet 30 minutes before lunch.. then lunch..
Snack of grapes at 4pm....
it got interesting after i got home...
went to the grocery store.. really the first time since i started the challenge... and i was AMAZED at the things i bought... whole wheat bread, wheat pasta (figured i would give it a try since i never have before), skim Mozarella cheese, water, fruit, etc...... lots of food for my daughter for her lunches... she usually gets to eat whatever we are having for dinner.. but lunch is catered by Gerber Graduates.. lol
but what amazed me was that we walked through the cookie aisle and the cereal aisle and the candy aisle and the chips aisle... and i didn't want any. seriously... i had no desire to buy the junk i knew i didn't need. if this challenge has done anythign for me, that is what it has done.. made it so i am making the right choices.
got home and decided to make fajita's... couldn't find any tortilla's without enriched flour, so i decided to get the lowest calorie ones i could find.... cooked up the chicken and steak... and made 2 tortilla's for each of us.... and i couldn't even finish the 2nd one.. and when i felt full... i stopped eating... in the past i would have forced myself to finish that 2nd one and probably would have forced down a 3rd, because it was available, not because i wanted it necessarily.... but tonight? i stopped when i was full.. and 1 and 1/2 was all i needed. i am so proud of me :)
decided to exercise tonight.. and i really want to kick Bob Harper's rear end... i decide to do a 40 minute circuit routine.. and when he was doing an exercise i physically could not do because that muscle in my lower back is still not up to par, i would do something else like jogging in place, to keep my heart rate up... or i would move my body to mimic what he was doing, just at a level i was capable of (did you know that jumping jacks where you only lift one leg at a time are actually more of a workout that traditional ones? lol)... when the game recognizes that you are not doing the same movements, Bob says things like "i knwo you can do better than that" or "keep up with your trainer for maximum benefits".. or "i know you can get lower than that".... sometimes i just want to kick him in the face.. lol.... i do talk back to the screen tho, and that makes me feel a little better....
got a good workout tho.. i was sweating profusely...
decided against a night time snack in favor of just going to bed..... it felt so good to exercise again.. hopefully my back will cooperate and let me keep it up.
