what is that saying?... No rest for the weary?
well... no rest for me, but i don't really feel weary...
my daughter decided 6:50am would be a good time to wake up this morning..... i am a bit sore from working out last night... but not too bad.... it felt good to lay in bed with her this morning watching cartoons..... once her daddy gets home from work (i hate his oncall weeks because he goes in for a few hours on weekends) we'll be off to the zoo!
lets see... what is my routine today..... first packet of vitamins as soon as i wake up...

well... that was a lot of mumbo jumbo... but at least i've done my research so i know what everything is.... and that it's natural vitamins and minerals and not crap that could hurt me... i think that is another reason i love this plan....
anyway... back to my challenge :)
turns out i need to have my husband hide the scale again.... what was the first thing i did this morning? stood on it..... it said i lost a couple more pounds... which makes me feel good with as hard as i worked out last night.... i find i am a bit impatient to see results and weight loss.. but i am trying to let my body do what it is going to do... and not expecting to be a size 6 tomorrow.
i also thought long and hard last night and have decided on what my actual goal will be.....
i decided i want to be 149 pounds by new years eve..... that's a total of 77 pounds in 7 months..... i think i can reach that if i keep on track... about 11 pounds a month.. i think that is a realistic goal...
and now that i have put it in writing.. i have no option but to do my best to achieve it.
8:30am - breakfast.... took the 2 packets with breakfast.... and decided to be a bit weird this morning.... i had 2 devilled eggs and a banana... separately of course.. lol interesting combination to say the least... but hey, it's what i wanted.. lol
10:30am.. snack while at the zoo... i was smart and brought grapes wiht me... they were yummy.... and fit perfectly in the cupholder of the stroller :)
12:45pm - lunch.... grilled chicken salad with some lit italian dressing... for zoo food it was actually quite delicious... i was proud of my husband for getting the same thing, but his had newmans own honey mustard dressing.... he used less than usual and said the taste combination of the dressing and the chicken made "the rest of the salad palatable"... poor thing really is starting to get sick of salads.. lol
well i don't think i will need to exercise tonight... i took my pedometer to the zoo and we walked about 3.5 miles.. wow... i had a scavenger hunt to complete so we kept having to circle back around for animals we had missed.. lol i might any way... but at least now i know i don't HAVE to :)
3:30pm - snack... i forgot to take my other packet of vitamins with lunch, so i decided to take them with a snack once we got home from the zoo.. 2 devilled eggs and some grapes... yet again an interesting combination...
decided to cut the plywood to replace the steps this afternoon... yes i am replacing the steps.. why?.. because i have a very very irritating cat who decided in protest of our daughter getting so much attention, she would use the stairwell as her own personal litterbox.. so much so that when i removed the carpet (which being replaced tuesday) each and every step was saturated then thru to the plywood underneath... so i get to replace them all.... was smart tho, and installed a door at the bottom of the stairs so she can't get in there anymore... you know, i think that just might be another benefit to this 24 day challenge, i have the energy now to do these projects that i dind't have before.. and we've been needing to get it done for months now......
anuyway....cutting the wood took a lot longer than i thought it would.... good news is i did not saw off any of my appendages with either the table saw or the circular saw.. yay!!!! bad news is, since it took longer than expected, didn't get to have dinner until after 8pm..... not really sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing to eat that late... but what i did notice is i was not as ravenous as i expected to be.. and i stopped eating once i felt full....
after spending the day at the zoo and then spending a couple of hours cutting wood, i feel like i hae gotten my workout for the day..... so i decided to go to bed shortly after putting my daughter down for the night.... i think i will sleep well...... goodnight :)
