Day 10 - June 7, 2012


Today is day 10... the last day of the Cleanse portion of the 24 day challenge.... and the last day i have to drink the Fiber Drink.... it's not the worst thing i have ever tasted, and does tend to grow on you and get easier to drink... but definitely won't miss it.... i am anxious for my coach to call me today because he has told me very little about what changed going in to the next phase of the challenge.. i know no more fiber drinks... and more vitamins and supplements to gear your body toward absorbing nutrients the proper way... but that seems so vague.. i guess i will find out later.



i can't wait to weigh in and measure tomorrow morning... i think i will be getting up early just to do that.. lol!



but today... woke up and drank the fiber drink... made my husband his too... he really doesn't like it, but did admit to me it was easier to drink today than it was yesterday.... i also had to take the final 2 Probiotic Restore tablets...



7:45am - Breakfast on the way to work... took 2 Omegaplex and ate a banana... got a really weird look from a guy at the traffic light when i was holding the banana dangling from my mouth while i rummaged thru my purse to find my work id.. i guess i can see how that would look.. well... odd. yummy banana tho :)



10am - snack time.... so i did end up buying a mini fridge while shopping last night.. and set it up in my office this morning... i am looking forward to eating a nice cold apple :) and having a cold Spark rather than a room temperature one..... Orange flavor today :)



12:15pm - lunch time... Groucho's again.. i had a grilled chicken salad with some of their Formula 95 dressing... that stuff is sooooo yummy! mustardy flavor..... again i couldn't eat the whole thing so i have leftovers in my new little fridge.. yay!

but... my poor husband tho.. he tried the tuna over salad... with the same dressing.. looked good.. but his words were "it just wasn't appetizing"... poor thing is having the hardest time with this new eating style... it wasn't a pastrami on rye, which is the usual thing he gets there, so he wasn't satisfied with it... sometimes i fear he won't be able to stick with this all 24 days... he is having a hard time with not being able to eat those things he loves.... but i told him it needs to be his choice.. i am not forcing him to diet.. he is the one who mentioned he is at his heaviest ever, and that his father developed diabetes when he was this age and weight... he has to WANT to participate or he won't get the most out of it. i honestly believe your mindset is a big part of dieting. i keep looking at it as positives, even the crappy salad i had from chick-fil-a... the positive was i know never to get it again.. lol.... but he keeps missing his "real" food.... the next 3 weeks will be interesting.

3:30pm - snack time... decided to have a small salad for snack today.... had so many leftovers from recent lunches filling up my tiny little fridge, i figured this was the best way to start getting rid of some.. lol.... yummy... have i mentioned i love salad?   just checking :)

7pm - Dinner... i decided to get creative tonight... i made Orange glazed Salmon wuiht a small side salad and greenbeans.  The orange glaze i made is actually a reduction of fresh squeezed juice form 2 oranges, about 1/4 cup of pomegranate red wine vinegar and a bit of ground ginger... let that reduce to a glaze and then brush on a fillet of salmon and cooked in my grill pan...a bout 4-5 minutes on each side... i am so proud of myself.. it was delicious.. probably the most creative meal i have made recently...... even my husband loved it :)

decided againt a snack tonight... was perfectly sated from dinner....

this ends my 10 day cleanse.... i am excited to weigh in and measure tomorrow morning... and a bit nervous too.. whate if there is no difference?  well.. i guess the numbers will show.
